It is my great honor and privilege to serve as the Vice President of the Resident Association of Nepal (RAN). RAN was established with the vision of uniting resident doctors across the country, advocating for our welfare, enhancing academic opportunities, and building a strong professional community that upholds the dignity and responsibility of our noble profession.
Resident doctors form the backbone of Nepal’s healthcare system. Along with our clinical duties, we carry the responsibility of academic growth, research, and compassionate service to patients. RAN strives to create a supportive environment where residents are empowered not only in their medical training but also in leadership, innovation, and personal well-being.
As Vice President, my commitment is to work hand in hand with our executive team and members to:
• Strengthen the academic and research platforms for residents.
• Ensure advocacy and representation of residents’ rights at both institutional and national levels.
• Foster unity and collaboration among residents across different specialties and institutions.
• Promote professionalism, ethical values, and mutual respect in medical practice.
Together, we can build a stronger voice for resident doctors, ensuring that our contributions are recognized and our challenges addressed. I invite all residents to actively engage with RAN, share ideas, and participate in initiatives that drive positive change in our medical community.
